Ahhh Orange!

Orange

It’s still August and it’s not because it’s a long month, I swear! 🙂 And I can only see advantages, since, as I said earlier, it is a fragrant month with so many beautiful fruits, with intense colors and sweet flavors. Pear orange is one of them and there are plenty of uses for this beauty.

Brought from China to Brazil by the Portuguese in the 16th century, it is our greatest representative of citrus fruits. In addition to being rich in vitamin C, the fruit has flavonoids and several important nutrients to prevent diseases and make the body more resistant.

Orange is part of the menu of several people who opt for fruit juice in the morning or to accompany meals. In addition to being used as an ingredient in several recipes or consumed fresh. You can season meats, make jams, sweets with the skin … And its benefits are:

– Reduces stroke risk
– Helps prevent kidney stones
– Decreases cholesterol
– Prevents certain types of cancer
– Improves memory
– Eye and heart protection
– Prevents respiratory diseases
– Decreases constipation
– Prevents colds and flu
– Antioxidant
– Improves mood
– Improves diabetes

Bearing in mind that they are “isolated” benefits and the general context of the individuals who consume it must be analyzed.

But it is clear that its flavor already speaks for itself and nothing more “affective” than an afternoon coffee with an Orange Cake, reminiscent of grandma’s house, Hum!

Orange Cake

Ingredients – Dough

3 eggs
2 cups of wheat flour
1 cup of sugar
1 cup orange juice
2 spoons of butter
1 teaspoon baking soup

Ingredients – Syrup

1 cup of sugar
Half a cup of orange juice

Preparation – Dough

Beat the eggs with the sugar and butter, add the flour and orange juice, beat well. Finally, add the yeast and bake in the medium oven, preheated, for approximately 35 minutes.

Preparation – Syrup

Take it to the fire and let it boil until it is in a syrup point, put on top of the ready cake still hot.

If you choose to make small dumplings, as in the photo, just put in pies, the larger ones. After cooling, pass the melted chocolate and serve cold.

Enjoy your food!
