Some people have already asked me if I eat correctly every day, without wavering, since in most cases the recipes I publish are in this sense. And the answer is no, obviously. I am a human being, full of flaws, procrastinate, I have doubts, sometimes I have problems with my system of self-reward, often I can’t contain myself at parties, but that’s okay, I get up and go on without giving up on my goal.

We are living in a moment where the search for perfection is exacerbated, in my opinion. The false reality often shown on social media, should be seen as advertising only (maybe), like those pictures of Fast Food snacks, where we know that the photo is just the photo and what comes in the box is not that way, but unfortunately they are being understood as a solid, desirable and unreachable reality. This has created several social, psychological and physical problems, some of which are irreversible.

A long time ago, I learned from my mother that everything in life is balance, nothing in exaggeration is good, nor smiling too much … Is it true, I close my eyes to laugh, did you ever think of crossing the street at that moment? LOL. Jokes aside, when it comes to food, balance is essential and necessary, no one gains 10kg after Christmas and New Year suppers, as long as they don’t overdo it every day of life lol. “Kicking” the bucket on special occasions is sensational, especially to create a better relationship with the food, so don’t punish yourself, be happy.

Speaking of being happy, who’s not happy with Condensed Milk Pudding? If there is a better end-of-year dessert, I don’t know 🙂 and the main course, a Chicken Pie, very classic and complete. If you want, serve a very fresh salad as a starter, super matches, the only real question here is: are you going to make these recipes for Christmas or New Year supper?

Classic Chicken Pie

Ingredients

Pasta
3 cups of wheat flour
6 tablespoons butter
½ can of sour cream
2 gems
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon of salt

Filling
1 tablespoon of oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 medium chopped onions
2 medium chopped tomatoes
1 large cooked and shredded chicken breast
1 glass of chopped heart of palm (300 g)
½ can of sour cream
1 pinch of black pepper
2 tablespoons chopped green scent
1 egg yolk to brush
Salt and saffron to taste

Preparation mode

Pasta
In a container, put wheat flour, make a hole in the center, add butter, cream, egg yolks, ferment, powder and salt. Mix them with your fingertips, until the dough completely loosens from your hands. Let stand for 30 minutes in the refrigerator. Line the bottom and side with a removable ring shape (26 cm in diameter), reserving about one third of the dough for the topping.

Filling
In a saucepan, heat the oil and sauté the garlic and onions. Add the tomatoes and sauté for 5 minutes. Add the shredded chicken, spices and 1 cup (tea) of water and saute until the water is dry. Add the heart of palm, the cream, the black pepper and the green smell, mix well and put on the dough already in the form. Open the reserved dough with the help of a rolling pin, cover the pie, closing the edges tightly, brush with the yolk and place in a medium oven (180 ° C), preheated, for about 40 minutes or until golden brown. Serve.

Ingredients

Syrup
1 cup (tea) sugar

Pudding
1 can of condensed milk
2 measures (of can) of whole milk
3 eggs

Preparation mode

Syrup
In a wide-bottomed pan, melt the sugar until it turns golden. Add half a cup (tea) of hot water and stir with a long-handled spoon. Bring to a boil until the sugar lumps dissolve and the syrup thickens. Line a pan with a central hole (19 cm in diameter) and set aside.

Pudding
In a blender, beat the ingredients and pour in the reserved form. Cover with aluminum foil and place in a medium oven (180 ° C), in a water bath, for about 1 hour and 30 minutes. After cold, let it chill for about 6 hours. Unmold and serve next.

Tip: It is essential that the pudding is prepared in a double boiler to bake in a slow and controlled manner, to achieve the ideal texture. So that your pudding does not form holes, check if the oven temperature is regulated as indicated by the recipe, but there is no problem in liking them lol.
