Happy Children’s Day

Happy Children's Day

A special date, much awaited by children around the world and is celebrated in different countries. According to the history and meaning of the celebration, each country chooses a certain date and certain types of celebration to remember its minors. At the same time, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) agreed on November 20 to celebrate Children’s Day.

In 1923, the city of Rio de Janeiro, then the capital of Brazil, hosted the 3rd South American Child Congress. The following year, taking advantage of the recent event, federal deputy Galdino do Valle Filho drafted the bill that established this new commemorative date. On November 5, 1924, Decree No. 4867, instituted October 12 as the official date for the celebration of Children’s Day.

However, the date did not become an immediate unanimity. Only in 1955, the date began to be celebrated from a marketing campaign designed by a toy industry called Estrela. (source: Brasil Escola Uol)

Well, whether to celebrate the rights of all children in the world like food, love and education or the toy trade, without a doubt, this is a date that renews the hope of a better world, after all, the maxim that children are the nation’s future is real and we must (or should) care for them with respect, lots of love and healthy food.

Yes, food for children should be healthy, not that escapes are bad, but the child must know and get used to quality food. There are many and easy to do, come on this celebration?

Breakfast
– Cut a heart in the center of a slice of bread, place it in a hot frying pan, greased with oil and in the “hollow heart”, place an egg. Let it fry, over low heat, until the egg is consistent and turn and fry on the other side. Serve with a plain yogurt with chopped strawberries.

Lunch
– Cut a potato in half moons, cut 6 broccoli “trees”, cook together for 6 minutes, season with oil, salt and oregano and bake for 30 minutes. Grill in olive oil, 1 chicken fillet seasoned with salt and lemon. Serve potatoes and broccoli, with grilled fillet and passion fruit juice.

Afternoon coffee
– Popcorn! Pop half a cup of popcorn coffee in a pan with a drizzle of oil only. Place in a basin and set aside. Melt in the microwave, 50g of dark or milk chocolate, pour over the popcorn and stir until the chocolate has spread well, pour a dessert spoon of nest or ovomaltine milk and sprinkle over the popcorn with chocolate, stir another turn. Leave in the refrigerator for 10 minutes and you’re done.

At the end, place half a slice of mozzarella folded on top. Serve in round versions, with lettuce leaves. For dessert, slices of pineapple.

It all seems very complicated, but it is not… Take advantage of that day, to present fun and healthy foods for our little ones. Let them participate in the process, it becomes much easier.
