Fruit salad
Another food that I have fond memories of!
From time to time, fruit salad was a dessert that reigned at home, all it took was a large amount of fruit starting to fall into the fruit bowl, and my mother already had the knife and cutting board in her hand (laughs).
Everything was chopped and mixed, with a wonderful orange juice to give it the special touch. Of course, many times, to really have a “dessert” feel, it was accompanied by a spoonful of condensed milk or cream. It’s a show!
How about taking advantage of seasonal fruits to make your own? In August we have banana, cashew, starfruit, kiwi, orange, apple, papaya, tangerine, strawberry, passion fruit and tangerine.
Fruit salad
Ingredients:
2 bananas
1 carambola
2 apples
1/2 box of strawberries
1 papaya papaya
2 cashews
2 kiwis
Method of preparation:
Clean, peel the bananas and papaya, and chop all the fruits into small cubes. Mix everything and add the juice of your choice:
2 juiced oranges or
2 juiced tangerines or
2 passion fruits.
The add-on is up to you, but here are some tips:
– Natural yogurt
– Finely rolled oats or oat bran
– Squeak
– Whey protein
– Powdered milk
– Linseed
One at a time or all together and mixed… It seems simple, because it is simple, the basics work.
Enjoy!
