Cauliflower zucchini

There’s no problem in liking conventional white sauce, I myself am in love with it! If I make it, I’ll eat it with everything – pasta, lasagna, chopped chicken, chicken fillet, rice and beans (lol).

But obviously, thinking about people who are looking to eat healthier foods with more fiber, and for many reasons have difficulties or just want to change the way they do “things”, the different white sauce can be a very viable alternative.

Oh, and for children with food selectivity and difficulty eating vegetables, it’s also a great help.

Different white sauce

Ingredients:

– 1 whole cauliflower

– 1 clove of garlic

– 1/2 onion (or as much as you like)

– 1/2 tablespoon of butter for sautéing

– 1 cup of milk of your choice

– Salt, black pepper and nutmeg to taste

– 1 tablespoon of ricotta cream or nutritional yeast (if you don’t consume ricotta cream)

How to prepare:

Want to be practical? Place the chopped cauliflower with the chopped garlic and onion in a pot with a little water in the microwave and let it cook for 10 minutes (it depends on the microwave, keep an eye on it if you don’t cook it in yours beforehand). Put the cooked vegetables in a blender with the milk and blend until you get a homogeneous mixture. In a pan, melt the margarine and pour the contents, let it boil, stirring constantly and add the seasonings. If it is too thick, add a little water to get the desired texture. Finish with the ricotta cream. If you choose nutritional yeast, blend it with the vegetables in a blender. Turn off the heat and serve as desired.

If you don’t have a microwave or have time, sauté the garlic in margarine, add the cauliflower and onion, coarsely chopped, and let it sauté over low heat to cook, then put it in the blender and do the rest as described above.

Tips:

– If you make the sauce thicker, you can serve it with snacks, it’s very good.

– You can vary the vegetables and/or combine them: cauliflower with chayote, cauliflower with zucchini, just zucchini, zucchini with chayote.

The goal here is not necessarily to reduce calories, but rather to make something that is already good even more nutritious. Enjoy the process, give new meaning to moments and enjoy!
